Administrative Assistant, Noel Center for Disability Resources
Gardner-Webb invites applications for the Administrative Assistant for the Noel Center for Disabilities Resources. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Noel Center for Disability Resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets students and visitors
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Noel Center
- Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, zoom, email and mail
- Maintain confidential and time sensitive materials
- Supervise and assign duties to Student Workers
- Edit documents
- Filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning
- Keep accurate team meeting notes
- Orders supplies and equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory of software, equipment, resource and educational materials
- Maintain accurate record of invoices
- Maintain accurate student records
- Generate reports for roster review
- Monitor AIM (Noel Center Database) for new student applications and provide documentation guidelines as needed
- Regularly updates secondary advisors and priority registration in Banner
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendar
- Material production in alternate format
- Arrange for equipment repair
- Submission of work orders
- Assist in the preparation of departmental reports
- Transcription of notes
- Schedule Orientation and Mobility instruction as needed
- Coordinate Testing Accommodations including assigning proctors
- Prepare reports on testing administration
- Provides information by answering questions and requests
- Proctor tests as needed
- Completes projects as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Three years’ on the job administrative support experience or a bachelor degree in a business-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
