Job Description

Manufacturing engineer responsible for all phases of project management.


The project engineer will be responsible for, but not be limited to the following:

  • Accountable for all phases of project management.
  • Develop and implement capital projects, and justify tooling and equipment purchases.
  • Analyze, plan, and design layout of equipment workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Assist in setting standard work procedures.
  • Design and initiate tooling and fixtures for new products and change implementation.
  • Plan and implement engineering projects, including equipment, tooling, and process improvements using Lean
  • Assist in leading continuous improvement activities.
  • Control expenditures within limitations of project budget.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, needs, and any other considerations to facilitate and improve production processes.



Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Master’s Degree in Engineering and 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

*A Master’s Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
*A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience


Knowledge of Auto-Cad, Pro-E, or Solid-Works design software, Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Project Management software

Lean Master and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Experience with SAP, Word, and Excel

Self-motivated and goal oriented

Strong problem assessment and resolution skills in a fast-paced environment are critical.

Ability to collect and research data, & use intuition & experience to complement data and develop solutions using the data.

Work with integrity and uphold organizational goals.
