CORMETECH has fully dedicated, state-of-the art manufacturing facilities, research and development centers and testing laboratories in Charlotte (NC), Cleveland (TN), Durham (NC), and Kings Mountain (NC).

Requirements: Valid driver’s license is required for all positions, reliable means of transportation is required for all positions, must be able to pass drug screen, background check is required. Fork lift driver’s license is required.

General description of position: They will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed safely, producing quality results and achieving daily productivity goals set by the Supervisor. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are needed to be a successful Lead Operator. This position will require a working knowledge of Industrial Processing and QA/QC. The individual will fill in for the Shift Supervisor role when the Shift Supervisor is absent.

Duties and responsibilities: Observe work being performed with an emphasis on safety, work with Supervisor to prioritize staffing assignments to ensure that Processing daily goals are met, responsible for the accurate completion of QA/QC daily paperwork, perform daily checks on equipment to ensure it is operating properly, manage the man power to optimize output of production, keep area clean and presentable at all times, distribute all PPE and enforce the proper usage at all times, must be able to plan, organize, direct, control and supervise the work of others, must be able to work a flexible schedule, proper completion of Bill of Ladings (BOLs) skills and abilities, safety conscious at all times, strong decision making skills, ensure quality of final product, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, organized and detail oriented, able to maintain accurate written records, strong communication skills both verbal and written, able to collaborate and work as the Lead in a team concept, must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Education and experience: High School diploma or GED, must have a minimal of 1 year’s processing experience.

Work Environment: This job operates in a plant environment. The role routinely requires moving modules in and out of the area. Temperature can be hot in summer and cold in the winter. The job also requires the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands: Physical requirements include occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs., proper use of hand tools. Subject to sitting, standing, climbing, stooping, reaching, walking, twisting and kneeling to perform essential functions. Working conditions can change from day to day, must be mentally able to handle the stress of repeated changes in work requirements as directed by supervision.
