Job Description

STI Warehouse Attendant


  1. Maintain a neat, orderly and safe warehouse
  2. Pull yarn for orders needed on production floor
  3. Understand and properly use inventory system
  4. Receive, verify and organize incoming yarn shipments
  5. Return, repack and reweigh yarns coming back from production floor
  6. Maintain open line of communication
  7. Other duties as assigned

Equipment Used: Lifts, trucks, jacks, box cutters, computer, calculator

Requirements: Must be able to recognize and differentiate written numbers. Possess basic computer skills. Ability to lift 25 lbs. and move cases weighing up to 200 lbs. using hand trucks. Maintain STI certification on lifts/trucks. Must be able to walk, bend, push, pull, stoop, stretch (arms and legs) and lift arms above head level while standing on cement floor. Not permitted outside of your assigned work area without your supervisors knowledge.

Vacation (Paid): 2 weeks- week of July 4th and week of Christmas. Pay based on years of continuous service with STI.

Holidays (Paid): Easter Monday or Good Friday, Memorial Day, Labor Day & Thanksgiving Day.

Retirement Bonus: 2% of annual pay rate; required 60+ years of age and 7+ years of continuous service to STI.

Bi-Annual Attendance Awards: $500 for zero absences in the past 6 months; $250 for two or less absences in the past 6 months.

Shift Premium: For all off shift (2nd and 3rd) hours associates receive a $1.00 Shift Premium on top of their base hourly rate.
